| Whether you're celebrating Cinco de Mayo, or just looking for a great theme for a birthday, anniversary, or graduation celebration, hosting a Mexican Fiesta is a great food-oriented party. It's easy and there's a lot of great party supplies that go with this theme. Ole! Decorations Drape colored crepe streamers from the middle of the room to the sides, hang a piñata in the middle (remember to fill with candy/party favors). Place a sombrero in the center of the table, attach a bouquet of helium-filled balloons to the top and fill the rim with tortilla chips. Hang chili pepper lights around the room and buffet table. Set luminaria lights on tables and along walkways and the driveway. Serve food in terra cotta or earthenware dishes to give your table a southwestern feel. Use brightly colored tableware such as a fiesta tableware pattern. Mix in sold color cutlery. Food and Refreshments Set a "build your own" taco bar, complete with all the fixings. Include other Mexican foods such as burritos, tamales, nachos, Mexican rice and refried beans. Serve flan or friend ice cream for dessert! Great drinks include Mexican beer, margaritas or sangria. Remember to have non-alcoholic drinks and sodas available! Activities Break a piñata. Hire a mariachi band. Dance the Marcarena or the Mexican Hat Dance!
