Cheese-Stuffed Witches' Hats

Makes 24 appetizers

1 lb medium mushrooms
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions with tops
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp snipped parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp pepper

Remove stems from mushrooms; finely chop stems. Cook and stir mushroom stems, green onion and garlic in margarine over medium heat until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Fill mushroom caps with stuffing mixture. Place mushrooms filled sides up in greased baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Graveyard 6 Layer Dip (With Shovels)

1 16 oz. can of refried beans
1 cup salsa
2 mashed and peeled avocados
(or 8 oz. of guacamole dip)
8 oz. sour cream
1 cup shedded cheddar cheese
1 Tbsp black olives
1 Tbsp green onion tops
2-3 large bags of tortilla chips

Layer a 10-inch glass pie pan with the first 5 items in the order written above. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted (approx. 15-20 minutes). Garnish with sliced black olives and green onion tops if desired. Serve with bowl of shovels (tortilla chips!).

Spicy Witches Brew

1 12 oz. can of frozen orange juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 quarts apple cider
4 cups water
1 cup white grape juice
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 pkg (13 oz) cherry drink mix
Large Bowl or Large Pumpkin cleaned
Ice Trays

Mix the orange juice, lemon juice, apple cider, water, white grape juice, and cinnamon together in a large bowl until well mixed. Chill for at least an hour in refrigerator before serving. Make a pitcher of cherry drink and pour into ice trays. When frozen, add to witches brew to look like "bloody ice."

Fun Tip: Give it a hand... fill a powderless surgical glove with prepared frozen orange juice concentrate. Tie each glove tightly at the wrist and place on tray and let lie flat in your freezer overnight or until firm. Before serving, cut the glove off and place the frozen "hand" into the punch bowl.

Fun Tip: Place Dry Ice in a container hidden from view which will give off lots of eerie atmosphere.

Worm Ice Punch

Makes 10 8-ounce servings

1 12-oz. can and 1 6-oz. can of frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate
1 12-oz. can apricot nectar, chilled
2 12-oz. cans of lemon carbonated beverage, chilled
1 package fruit-flavored chewy candy worms

To make the ice: Prepare the 6 ounce can of frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate according to the directions. Cover the bottom of a 4 cup ring mold with the chewy worms. Pour the prepared juice to almost cover the worms. Make sure the worms do not float. Cover and place in the freezer for 2 hours, or until completely frozen.

To make the punch: Prepare the 12 ounce can of pineapple-orange juice concentrate according to the directions, making sure to use cold water. Add the apricot nectar and stir. Add the lemon carbonated beverage. Unmold the ice ring by running cold water over the outside of the mold, and gently add the ring to the punch!
